Our Story

The Founder

Zane Schulte

Surf + Soul was born at the intersection of two lifelong passions: the ocean and faith. For years, Zane felt the pull between his love of surfing and his desire to create spaces where people could encounter God in a tangible, physical way. The ocean kept teaching him what church sometimes couldn't — that surrender isn't weakness, that wipeouts are grace, and that the most profound worship happens when you're chest-deep in something bigger than yourself.

Surf + Soul isn't a surf camp with a devotional tacked on. It's a holistic experience designed from the ground up for believers who want to encounter God through creation, courage, and community.
